Our Story – THE BARTLETT
Your place to stay in the Sacramento Delta!
The winner of Best Lodging in The Delta, The Bartlett is a great space for retreats or small gatherings. The Bartlett is located in the quaint and historic town of Walnut Grove, California in the heart of the Sacramento River Delta. Just a few blocks from the river, the property is easily accessible from I-5 or the Bay Area and is the perfect destination for a quick relaxing getaway or for extended stay.
The best part? There’s no shortage of activities to do on the Delta. Local wedding venues, historical sites, hiking trails, art galleries, local points of interest and wineries are within 10 miles of our property. We’re happy to give you a recommendation!

The Space
Built in 1915 as rooming house for migrant workers, The Bartlett has been lovingly renovated-- oftentimes using reclaimed materials from the original building. Each room is meant to be cozy and comfortable. Rooms are suitable for 2 people, but the larger room-- our Bridal Suite-- can accommodate up to 5 guests. Our ground floor is handicap accessible.
*We offer individual rooms as well as whole-house rental.

Guest Access
The property owner and hostess, Becky, lives on the property. She or her co-host will be there to grant you your first access. From there, you will be coming and going electronically. The kitchen, lobby, and living area and dining room are all common areas with a casual and inviting feel.
You will be given a door access code upon arrival and you can come and go as you please.
There is a public dock in Walnut Grove you can tie up your boat. Day use is free and overnight use is a small fee.

Other Things To Note
There are two entrances to The Bartlett. Although the legal address is B st we use the C st entrance.
Many businesses in Walnut Grove have a "cash only" policy. Make sure to come prepared. We can direct you to an ATM or bank branch, if necessary.
Local businesses oftentimes close early. Most restaurants are closed by 9 PM.
