Tidewater Tales

Our friend and member Rich Turner who is also one of the greatest artists in the Delta is publishing his interviews with Delta residents.  These are an oral history of the region and a way of recognizing the unique people and families that have made the Delta their home for the past 200 years.

Here is the story of Shorty’s La Amistad Cafe out in the wilds of the Clarksburg area.  I used to eat there a few times a week when I kept my boat at Arrowhead Harbor throughout the 1990s.  Shorty is gone now but I remember him for his warm greetings and the great food at the restaurant.  You can sill get the great food, drop in sometime.  Click here for the story:  https://www.patreon.com/posts/tidewater-tales-17148803
